As more and more companies migrate into a multi-supplier outsourced service environment, it is critical that they establish a cost efficient and seamless support model. End users want value and quality service irrespective of how a service operation’s organization is designed or sourced. During the past two years, Procter & Gamble has completed a successful End to End outsourcing of its global network and infrastructure/applications by integrating the core strengths of two large suppliers, British Telecomm and HP. This case study will describe how ITIL v3 has been used to leverage Procter & Gamble’s 6 year outsourcing foundation to establish the multi-supplier framework. It will focus on Operational methods employed to achieve, and evaluate, a cost effective, reliable, and end user transparent End to End service model.
